Technical Hackathons

One day. One team.
One working product.

Full-day deep builds for developers and technical founders. Real infrastructure. Real stakes. Ship or learn — either way you win.

Duration 10am – 8pm
Team size 2-3 people
Output Working demo

10 hours of focused building.

No slides. No pitch decks at the start. You arrive, you form a team, you build. At the end, you demo a working product to the judges and your peers.

10:00

Kickoff & theme reveal

The technical theme or problem space is announced. Team up, pick your angle, define your scope. You have 30 minutes to align — then you build.

10:30

Building begins

Heads down. Real code, real infrastructure, real product. Experienced mentors are in the room to unblock you when you're stuck.

13:00

Lunch + mid-day check-in

Break, eat, recalibrate. Optional 5-minute mid-day check-ins with a mentor if you've hit a wall or want to pressure-test your approach.

14:00

Back to building

Afternoon block. Focus on making it work end-to-end, not just look good. A working demo matters more than a polished UI.

18:00

Freeze + prep demos

Code freeze. Two hours to prep your demo — no new features, just make it presentable and tell the story clearly.

19:00

Demo + pitches

Each team gets 5 minutes. Live demo, one slide max. Mentors and peers ask real questions. The best teams get follow-up conversations, not just a prize.

20:00

Awards + networking

Prizes, credits, and introductions. More importantly: the people in this room are who you want to know.

Built for people who ship.

This isn't a general hackathon. We select for technical ability and the drive to build real things — not to win competitions.

Technical founders

You've already shipped something. You build fast. You want a focused day with peers at your level and feedback from people who get technical products.

🛠

Developers exploring startups

You're a strong engineer who's been thinking about building your own thing. This is a low-stakes way to test if you like the founder experience.

🎓

CS & engineering students

From KU Leuven, UGent, VUB, or elsewhere. You want to build something real and meet people who are doing it.

More than a weekend project.

The goal isn't to win a hackathon. The goal is to leave with something worth continuing — and people worth building with.

A working technical demo

Not a mockup. Not a pitch deck. A live product that does something real — and that you built under pressure in 8 hours.

Meaningful introductions

Experienced founders and builders are in the room all day. If your build gets their attention, the conversation starts that evening — not 6 months later.

Your co-founder, maybe

Teams form on the day. Some of the best founder partnerships start at events like this. You won't know until you build together.

Technical Hackathons
What are Technical Hackathons?
Full-day deep builds (10am–8pm) for developers and technical founders. You form a team of 2–3, build a working product around a revealed theme, and demo it to everyone at the end of the day. Think of it as the next level up from our Evenings.
Do I need a team beforehand?
No. Teams form on the day after the theme is revealed. Some of the best founder partnerships start at events like this. You won't know until you build together.
Who are the judges?
Experienced founders and builders are in the room all day — mentoring during the build and judging the demos. The best teams get follow-up conversations, not just a prize.
What do I need to bring?
Your laptop, your skills, and the drive to ship something real. We provide the venue, food, mentors, and infrastructure.
When is the first hackathon?
Coming soon. Register your interest and we'll notify you when the first one opens.
